North Wakefield Radio Club meets every Thursday evening from 8pm at East Ardsley Cricket Club Nr Wakefield. The radio club has a well equipped shack to keep even the most active radio amateur busy for hours. Most club evenings see our flagship rig in operation, a Yaesu FT1000 plus the new 4 element SteppIR which is one of the few in the country with 40M extensions.

Our radio club is very active participating in Contests and Special Events.

NWRC is always keen to encourage both new membership and newcomers to the hobby in general. The club is a satellite testing station for the R.A.E, the Novice R.A.E, the new foundation license and Morse appreciation currently required for UK radio licenses. Courses are run by ourselves for the above exams. Information on the exams and courses available can be obtained from John G4RCG.
